¡happy valentine's day, dear ones! february is usually so hard on me... you see, i'm a thing of summer... but this, my friends, this little lulu + her dear sibs are tugging me through these few grey days of winter:

             i could gobble this little pink thing right up!

i painted this the day after i met Vera Williams. what an amazing 82 year old angel. i have to share that julian + i read more, more, more said the baby often- and when sweet vera saw our julio- she said: "its little guy!"... i could hardly contain my slushiness. thank heavens for vera.

OOOOOOOOh! I love felt. I love wool. That's it. No, that's not it. But, in addition to that long list of things I love, I do LOVE roving wool.Its the un-spun wool that would typically become yarn.

I have girlfriends coming over tonight to learn how to felt. Its going to be wildly fun. I'll post pics of our wooly valentine's later! When I was a leetle girl... my parents had the pleasure of parenting the pickiest small soul ever... well, may I just say: Paybacks are indeed a bitch.

The adults of my childhood did well to hide things like zucchini in breads... with that- I am now following in their flour footprints by adding ingredients like flax seed oil + nutritional yeast to our pancakes, muffins, + other yummies.
